3. Kheti Virasat started working in association with centre for occupational & Environmental Health , LNJP hospital, New Delhi on Environmental and occupational health issues in Punjab .
4. Kheti Virasat has done a primary survey in the debt ridden villages of Harkrishanpura, Mandikhurd and Ramanwas of Bathinda district . Kheti Virasat also highlighted the state of ecology and environmental health in these villages.This report had immediately drawn attention of agriculture experts and environmentalists worldwide.
2. Kheti Virasat was declared an extension center of Khadi & Village industries Commission (An autonomous body under Ministry of Agro & Rural Industries, Government of India) for Punjab. It had organised four, one day training camps for farmers to train them about the various practical methods of organic farming with the financialsupport of KVIC.
1. Kheti Virasat is entitled with NGO cell of Central Pollution Control Board,under ministry of Environment &Forests, Government of India.
5. Kheti Virasat also got affiliation with Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan (NYKS) under the ministry of Youth Affairs, Government of India. At the same time Kheti Virasat had started interacting with rural youth of Ferozpur ,Patiala, Ropar and Bathinda districts and several meetings of youths were also organised in these districts.
6. Kheti Virasat had organised a one day Medicos workshop on impact of pesticides on health at Patiala in October 2002. After the formation of Working Group of Medicos on Agro-Chemicals & Health this is the first major workshop in which the medical professionals from all over Punjab and resource persons from outside Punjab were invited. 47 medicos and 36 other persons participated in the workshop. Shri Jai Singh Gill,I.A.S., Director General, CAPART was the chief guest and Dr.Ramesh Dutt Sharma, Minister of State for Health, Punjab had presided over the workshop. Dr. D. B. Boralkar joint secretary Central Pollution Control Board and Shri D.K.Dua Member Secretary Punjab Pollution Control Board were special guests. The eminent resource persons were Dr. S.K.Mishra, retired Dean, Ayurved ,Lucknow University ; Dr.S.G. Kabra, Indian Institute of Health Management & Research,Jaipur ; Dr.V.N.Pandey,former Director, Central Council for Research in Ayurved & Siddha ; Dr.Ashutosh Halder, Dept. of Reproductive Biology , AIIMS ; Dr. A.T. Dudani, Agriculture Microbiologists ; Dr.Vijaya Kabra, University of Rajasthan, Jaipur ;Dr. Ashish Tayal of Green Peace-India, Shri Ramesh Menon from Tata Energy Research Inst
